Applicants must:

• Be a Georgia resident

• Be of Krio descent

• Have a minimum 3.0 GPA

• Be a graduating Georgia high school senior accepted into college, university, vocational, or trade school
  or currently enrolled in college, university, vocational, or trade school

• Show leadership in school or community

• Be involved in community service and/or cultural activities

Before applying, please have the following ready:

• Completed scholarship application form

• Current transcript

• Proof of acceptance or current enrollment

• Resume

• Personal essay

• One letter of recommendation

Applicants must submit a 400–500 word essay answering one of the following:

1. What does Krio culture mean to you, and how do you plan to promote it in your community?

2. Describe a time you demonstrated leadership and how it impacted your community.

3. How will education help you make a difference in your community or country?

Recipients may be asked to participate in KDU Georgia Chapter events and programs. Recipients are expected to uphold values that reflect the mission and vision of the KDU Georgia Chapter.
