OUR ACCOMPLISHMENTS

The 6th. ANNUAL KRIO DESCENDANTS FAMILY REUNION-GLOBAL.

The Krio Descendants Union, Georgia Chapter (KDU-GA) hosted the 6th Annual Global Family Reunion for the KRIO DESCENDANTS UNION-GLOBAL.  The Annual event took place during the Labor Day weekend and KDU Chapters from around the world came together to raise funds, discuss and find ways and means to alleviate the conditions of our people and preserve our heritage in Freetown, Sierra Leone, West Africa.     

The events during this weekend were to educate people about Krios Past, Present and Future, who the Krios of Freetown, Sierra Leone are, their contributions toward making a positive mark in their different communities and countries.     Activities slotted for that weekend included: A Meet and Greet held on Friday, August 30, 2013, A Symposium, Luncheon Sale and a Black Tie Formal Dinner & Dance on Saturday, August 31, 2013 and finally on Sunday, September 1, 2013 we had a Thanksgiving Service and a Picnic.  

We were aware that even with our best intentions we still needed the blessing of God if we were to achieve our objectives and that is why we take time in this best weekend to give thanks to God during a Thanksgiving Service.
