KDU Georgia Chapter 2025 Thanksgiving Service

This year’s Krio Descendants Union (KDU) Georgia Chapter Thanksgiving Service was more than an event, it was a homecoming of hearts. Members of the Sierra Leonean and Krio community came together to worship, reconnect, and celebrate all that God has done.

From the moment the choir began singing, there was a sense of family in the room. Laughter mixed with praise, and you could feel the gratitude in every handshake and every song. For many, it was a reminder that even though we live far from Sierra Leone, our Krio heritage continues to anchor us in faith and unity.

Each year, this service gives us a chance to pause and reflect, to thank God for the journey, for our community, and for the generations rising behind us. We honor those who built the foundation before us and continue their legacy of love, service, and resilience.

After the service, everyone shared food, stories, and laughter that reminded us why gatherings like this matter. They keep our roots alive and our connections strong.

As we look ahead, may this spirit of thanksgiving stay with us, guiding how we serve, uplift, and grow together as one KDU family.
